Where can you buy deionized water in the UK? My steam press recommends it so that it doesn't get scaleed up

I collect the water when defrosting the refrigerator. This is essentially distilled water and won't fur up an iron. Mineral water actually (as it's name implies) contains calcium and often magnesium hydrogen carbonates which will fur up the iron. Boiling removes most of the temporary hardness but leaves permanent hardness in water. A automobile parts shop like Halfords and many garages sell deionised water. Distilled water is just as pure but made by a different process.

You can buy an additive called Kalstop (Calstop?) that you squirt into the chamber and it helps to keep all the jets etc clean and clear. Lots of shops sell it. I don't put it in everytime but I do fill the tank on my press with water that has been through a Brita filter every time.

De ionised water or distilled water basically means that it has been boiled and left to cool.So you can used kettle water.to buy distilled water you can do it is in most stores but is an expensive way to do this.If you add up the cost it is probably better to use tap water and when the iron is furred up get another one . another good source is to get a de humidifier cost around 30 pound and use the water from this which comes from the air and has no lime in it.I would use boiled kettle water

I'm in the US, but the water that is commen to use here is distilled, mineral free or purified. I believe all the same thing but different names. (They are available at he grocery store.) Deionized? I'm not sure if that would be the same or not. Do you have a water company (someone who sells drinking water or home water softeners)? If so, you could call them or contact the manufacturer. I hope that helps.

Asda do it. I've just found iton their online ordering system under home and leisure/motor/additives, lubricants and oil. So I would imagine somewhere like halfords would do it as well.
Don't use boiled water it is not the same thing

If you can not find deionized water a much better alternative is distilled water as distilled water is pure water without any minerals or ionized metals.

Just boiling water does not remove or deionize anything. The instructions for your steam press would have said to use boiled water if that were all you needed.

His "lying again", is a matter of interpretation, since every word out of his mouth could also be understood as just the continuation of the same one big lie.
