I would like to sell my handcrafted cards online but have no idea where to start. I have sold a few on Ebay but there are literary hundreds of thousands on sale, so it is not ideal. I put a lot of work into them and existing customers tell me they are fab. My photography etc is improving so if anyone can give me some tips on where to sell them or even setting up my own little shop (I would not have a clue) I would be forever grateful.

check out http://kookykards.com/business.htm - this site was created by a lady who has made a business out of selling handmade cards & has her own supplies shop & internet business.

You do have to pay an annual membership of GBP 29.95 but the information is fantastic, there are great articles & the Forums are very useful, giving you advice from loads of people who have done what you are considering, most of them are nice & very helpful.

I would definitely recommend spending the money if you are serious about it, think of it as an investment/start up cost/cheap education. Good Luck !!!

I have mine selling in two local shops, which requires you to put yourself and your cards out there. Some will turn you down. Try to think of every possible thing that could happen with your cards. Go to an office store or Walmart and buy Sales Books. They have carbon paper so you keep the copy and give the original to the shop owner when you drop off cards.
Or put an add in the local paper and sell on your own. That way you don't share the commission they'll charge to sell for you.

Hiya, first of all well done for having the patience ! ( me with 3 kids and working full time I am lucky to have time enough for a soak in the bath !!!)
What about a little stall in your local shopping centre / market
Also my girls go to guides and once a month a fund raiser goes on where mums / local talented artsy people bring their wares to sell... make a small donation to the guide group and have a table in the hall. Might be worth trying ?? Or school fairs ? xmas is coming up, maybe you could rent a table in the school hall.
Good luck ! x

I'd look for a store whose merchandise 'matches' your cards, and which doesn't already have a pile of cards.

Some crafts stores will take stuff on consignment; that might be a good option.

If you're in even a relatively small town, try going to touristy stores, making sure your cards indicate that they were made in the area.
