We go often and pick our hotel based on how nice it is compared to the price and even more important... How quick and easy is it to get in and out since many require very long walks from the elevator and are a pain in the butt. The ones we won't stay at include NY-NY, MGM, Paris, Caesar's and Mandalay Bay. The absolute worst is Excalibur. We have stayed there and so has my brother. He said the walk to the car was so long that if you forgot something you'd be better off going out and buying whatever it is. You could kill half the day just going back and forth from your room to the car.

We like Bally's because of the central location, ease of valet parking, elevator VERY close to front door if you stay in the wing facing Bellagio, view of Bellagio fountains from room and price.

We've also had great luck in the front tower at Tropicana and have gotten gorgeous views of the strip or the entire intersection from a corner room. It's not a fancy hotel but the rooms are clean. Just don't eat there. I wouldn't eat at Bally's either, though. The elevator is literally just steps from the front door.

At some of the hotels it's like a maze to get out of the place and since we like to gamble and dine at all different hotels we often don't care if we do either at our own hotel. If we're going to walk and we do... I want to walk on the strip and not inside my hotel.

If you're looking for absolutely beautiful rooms I'd choose either Bellagio or Venetian. We've not yet tried the Wynn.

Well I have been to Las Vegas three times now with my wife.
The first time we went we stayed at Excalibur. It is a great place if you have never been before. The rooms were very nice and we were in the perfect place to go to al the casinos. I would recommend it for first timers.
The second time we went we stayed at Circus Circus. Me being the big kid I had to stay there to check it out. I found it's a great place if you have kids. I found personally that there were to many kids running around the halls way too early in the morning. The hotel was nice though.
Finally our last spot was the Signature at the MGM Grand. What a great place. The service was incredible the room we stayed in was spectacular and the rest was great. The only complaint I have is there are no vending machines. Now they did have a little shop down stairs where you could by some drinks but if you came back to your room late you were out of luck.

I hope this has help you some with where you might stay. If you have any more questions regarding these place please email me and I will Tell you more.

We used to go to Las Vegas several times a year for many years.I think we have stayed in almost every one there is. As long as you go to one that has a Casino attached you can't go wrong. The fancier the Casino the fancier the hotel and the more likely they are to have a special on rooms to get you into their Casino.

Our recent favorites have been the Luxor and Bally's and Flamingo for mid price; Venetian and Bellagio and Mandalay Bay for higher price. You will definitely enjoy those but on the strip they all are a good hotel value.

After a bad security experience there, we no longer go to the MGM.

Excalibur and Hilton. I liked both..but the Hilton is a ways from the strip which can be a good thing or a bad thing depending on what you like. If you stay somewhere on the strip you can basically walk from one hotel to the next with out ever going outside..all the hotels are connected by walkways and bridges now.

Caesars Palace is my favorite, as the rooms, location and atmosphere are unbeatable.
I have also stayed at the Wynn resort, Bellagio, Mandalay Bay, Monte Carol and Treasure Island
I really like Bellagio and the Wynn resort.
Caesars remains my favorite (the Forum shops are the best)

I have only been to Vegas once, this past summer. I stayed at the MGM & loved it. Wonderful atmosphere & great comfortable rooms. Lots to do downstairs in the casino & shops & resturants & one heck of a view of the strip!!!!

Mandalay Bay, Venetian, Caesars, Wynn , Bellagio are upper echelon - four and five star but the Strat, New York New York, the Tropicana and the Mirage are exceptional

The Bellagio is by far, the best one to stay, you can get good deals, the room service is awesome and gambling is great downstairs, I dont like the Mirage, too noisy, I loved Paris, too pricey though. Trust me, the Bellagio is the best, you can go to their web and get on the mailing list and get coupons too.

Definitely Circus Circus. its spacious and really clean and nice. circus circus has many attractions, such as the adventuredome, an inside theme park; and they have circus shows, where they show acrobats swinging off ropes. they have an arcade for the kids, and many games where you could win teddy bears and stuff. its real nice. they also have a great buffet for a nice price, but if you love hotdogs, go right next door to Slots-a-Fun. they have these huge footlong hotdogs for $1.50. fills you up!

Riveria: HATED it. (It was gross.)
TI - AWESOME! My favorite on the Strip!
Mirage - very nice, but a pain to walk thru the casino
Hard Rock - LOVED it.
Excalibur - okay when I stayed there, went back a year later and it was dirty
Luxor - GREAT.

I'm a repeat stayer at TI.
