For example:
I would like to sell my daughter into slavery, as sanctioned in Exodus 21:7. In this day and age, what do you think would be a fair price for her?

Also,
b. when I burn a bull on the altar as a sacrifice, I know it creates a pleasing
odor for the Lord (Lev 1:9). The problem is my neighbors. They claim the odor
is not pleasing to them. Should I smite them?
c. I know that I am allowed no contact with a woman while she is in her period
of menstrual uncleanliness (Lev 15:19-24). The problem is, how do I tell? I
have tried asking, but most women take offense.
Lev. 25:44 states that I may indeed possess slaves, both male and female,
provided they are purchased from neighboring nations. A friend of mine claims
that this applies to Mexicans, but not Canadians. Can you clarify? Why can’t I
own Canadians?

e) I have a neighbor who insists on working on the Sabbath. Exodus 35:2 clearly
states he should be put to death. Am I morally obligated tto kill him myself?
f) A friend of mine feels that even though eating shellfish is an Abomination
(Lev 11:10), it is a lesser abomination than homosexuality. I don’t agree. Can
you settle this?
g) Lev 21:16-20 states that I may not approach the altar of God if I have a
defect in my sight. I have to admit that I wear reading glasses. Does my vision
have to be 20/20, or is there some wiggle room here?
h) Most of my male friends get their hair trimmed, including the hair around
their temples, even though this is expressly forbidden by Lev 19:27. How should they die?

i) I know from Lev 11:6-8 that touching the skin of a dead pig makes me
unclean, but may I still play football if I wear gloves?
j) My uncle has a farm. He violates Lev 19:19 by planting two different crops
in the same field, as does his wife by wearing garments made of two different
kinds of thread (cotton/polyester blend). He also tends to curse and blaspheme
a lot. Is it really necessary that we go to all the trouble of getting the
whole town together to stone them? ( Lev 24:10-16) Couldn’t we just burn them
to death at a private family affair like we do with people who sleep with their
in-laws? ( Lev. 20:14)

ToLiveIsToExplore,
It true, and I am glad that you noticed. The Laws of before were to illustrate different things, especially having to do with Christ in His relationship to sin, and the human relationship to God. You put way too much down that I want to go through right now, so I'll keep it short, (I'm moving right now).
Homosexuality is not a special sin. It is covered by the blood of Jesus just like any other. So people don't go to Hell for being Gay, rather they go to hell for not trusting God through Jesus Christ.
So if you are Gay, be Gay and trust God to fulfill His promises. So the focus isn't on sinning, it's about trusting God.
Why do some Christians bring it up all the time? Because they are not taught the truth. They believe that certain people are worse sinners than they are. And that's a bad attitude. Their pastors are sinning everytime that message is brought by them to the congregation.

Homosexuality is a sin similar to fornication, adultery, killing or any sin that's in opposition to God. What's there to not comprehend persons? Stop with all this nonsense!! "the bible mentioned this and that." The bible is a advisor for human lifestyles and the religious. One factor that persons don’t say so much is what occurs to you when you die. This is a significant quandary!! as a follower of God this international isn't your last vacation spot. Sin will by no means haven't any situation in God’s offers. Yes no person will have to be judging or condemning that is God's name. But as fans of Jesus we do have the accountability to rise up for the reality. Sin is soiled and lethal and there are penalties for that.

The things you're listed are from the civil and ceremonial laws for God's people back then. Those laws were abolished at Jesus' sacrifice, because they were figures who pointed up Christ.
There's another Law, in Exodus 20, called the Ten Commandments. Those are moral principles given by God for huamity, and were to last for eternity.
Jesus touched a bleeding woman, forgave a woman caught up in adultery, and God has never liked slavery. In the times of the old Israel, slavery was a life style, just as it was in XIX century in some countries.
Continue reading the Bible and ask for God's help to understand it. Here you have a couple of websites which I believe are going to be very helpful:

Yes, the old "Why Can't I Own Canadians" piece.
People will say something along the lines that the "Good News" of the New Testament and Jesus' sacrifice obviate the need to continue following Mosaic Law - even though "Jesus" himself said "I come not to destroy the Law, but to fulfil it."
Basically, it's the same old cherry-picking what you like from scripture and ignoring the rest, and giving all sorts of nonsensical theological reasons for doing so.
It's absolutely legitimate to brand people as hypocrites for using Leviticus to excuse their hatred of homosexuals while refusing to sacrifice oxen, while wearing two kinds of fabric together, while neglecting to sell their children into slavery etc.

Because people like to pick and choose their beliefs like they're on the fast food menu. People are competitive by nature, and one method of competition is to make your "opponent" seem less worthy, by making them seem evil or wrong. They use the bible out of context to put down not only gay people, but all minorities throughout the ages.
