Go to the American League and DH for a couple of years. I'd like to see him reach 500 home runs. The American League can help him do that. He can come back to Houston after he retires as a coach.

As I loyal Yankee fan, I hope that he manages to stay a player or at least a coach for the Astros, for I think it is a shame that Ausmus, Biggio and Bagwell wouldn't be back together next year. Most of my Astros memories have these guys, I know that Ausmus was traded to Detroit and back to Houston, however he is the Astros catcher, like Craig Biggio the Astros second baseball and Jeff Bagwell the Astros icon in first base.... He should get an incentive deal like what the A's did to Frank Thomas....

I think bagwell could play 'til he is atleast 40. I mean the guy has atleast 400 homeruns already right? He may have a shot at the HOF if he has a couple more well productive seasons in him, especiall with the Astros.

Yeah, I'd like to see him as a hitting coach of ours before seeing him go to another team (which is unlikely - he's a career Astro).

im a die hard card fan and hate the heck out of huoston but i like bagwel he is a great power hitter who should be a first round HOF. but he should retire and become a hitting coach for the Royals, they need to imatate his sweet swing.

I think the best position for Baggy is DH, where he can concentrate to increase his HR number and maybe and hopefully, a pennant or even a world series. He will increase his chance if he moves to the Yankees or the Tigers.

You're absolutely right, Bagwell can take the young kids under his wing and teach them the fundamentals of hitting.

The retirement home is calling his name. He is useless to any team.
