There is something a fish can get which (Dumb as it sounds) is actually called "cloudy eyes". It can be treated so long as you get to it in time. Just go to your nearest Pet Shop and they'll be able to give you the medicine. If you follow the directions/time etc and that doesn't work, then your fish probably is blind. But a lot of animals can live normal spanned lives even if they are blind.

my aunt had a black moor which was blind and yes both eyes were cloudy... now remeber when you feed it the moor wont be able to see the food so when it comes to the surface try drop flakes in to is mouth, obviously they need to be able to fit it completely into is mouth so you might need to brek it up a bit... my aunts lased just over a year from when it was diagnosed with blindness...
good luck...its not as hard as it sounds to feed them

It is not cataracts. It is a very common disease among moors named- appropriately- cloudy eye. It is a sign that your water quality has slipped a bit lately. Start doing weekly 25% water changes and it will clear up. They do sell medication but it is a little overkill. Just improve your water and he will get better.

There could be two possible explainations for this:
1. It could be a symptom of Slime Disease in which case you could need an Anti-Slime and Velvet treatment.
2. It could be your water quality. If this is the case you would need to do a water change. Use a chlorine treatment for your tap water and maybe introduce an carbon filter media into your filtration system.
