As some answers have explained you may have a filling loop close to the boiler. If the boiler is a later version Ecomax ? it has a filling tap close to the front panel slightly right of centre difficult to explain but lay on your back and look up ( I'm not being rude ) the underside of the boiler. looking up on the left is a tap with a black knob a 1/4 turn will allow water to recharge the system 1 to 1.5 bar is sufficient , use the reset think that's the bottom switch and hopefully the boiler will restart. Dependant on how long you have lived there or how long the boiler has been installed would indicate if you have a problem. Sealed systems require topping up - on a good system once every 6-9 months average 2-3 months less than that look around for a leak usually on a radiator valve. remember a pint of water lost through a leak is often enough to drop the pressure to the shut off point. Good boilers like the one you have are fitted with a low pressure switch, the cheep crap that one sees in the DIY (Destroy it yourself) sheds lack the protection and the first thing to fail is the pump that's then £ 150 buy cheep pay later that's what keeps us working. What the public fail to remember is that all manufactures have to make a profit at the point of sale or on the spares later.

CORGI reg installer.

It seems that your boilers water pressure has dropped and when that happens, the boiler will automatically shut itself down.To refill the system, look under the boiler, and you should see a flexible pipe coming from the cold water supply which fills the boiler . You will find a tap of some sort on the flexible pipe close to the cold water supply. Open the tap and as the boiler refills, keep an eye on the water pressure gauge. When it gets up to one and a half bar, then stop filling.Too much water in the system will damage the expansion vessel that is built into the boiler.Your boiler should start up then. If you find that you are losing water from the boiler often, then it can be a faulty automic air vent, or a faulty pressure relief valve. Good luck.

If you look under the boiler you will see a small tap coming off the water pipe, usually black, turn that a little and watch the pressure guage rise. When the pointer is in the green zone turn it off and you'll get your hot water. Suggests you have a water leak somewhere.
