Unfortunately, it is the best they can come with. Kind of pathetic actually.
They can't run on actual policy or philosophy - 'cause if they do, they'll go down in flames.
So - instead - they use a botched (admittedly totally unfunny) joke - KNOWING what he meant to say.......and from a politician who's NOT EVEN UP FOR RE-ELECTION!!!!
The GOP's goal is to divert everyone's attention away from what's REALLY important and REAL issues.
So - yes - this actually IS the best they can come up with.

Sad. Spiteful. Rediculous.
At least the deficit has dropped tremendously lately. And really, you can't look at it in a vacuum. Bush was faced with something not a lot of presidents are faced with, an attack on America. War was entered on faulty information (not directly Bush's fault) and he is a man of principle and refuses to let Iraq fall to pieces and potentially fall back into what it was before.
Wages are actually up across the board from what I've read.
Blaming Katrina on Bush or Republican is wrong. Of course things could have been handled better, especially on the state governmental level, but to place blame on the Republicans, when the local government were all Democrats, is ignorant.
Lastly, you shouldn't criticize how anyone chooses to serve, whether it be in the military or another form.
Step up and be productive. Go tout what is great about those you support, tell us why we should vote for them, rather than talking trash.
*Your additional statement goes against your question. So you do realize your statement is meant more as mud than as a real question. No body should be voting party-line; vote for the best individual.

I'm in the middle class, and our (mine and my husband's) earnings are up! I agree that Katrina should have been handled better at ALL levels. C'mon - the federal gov't is a HUGE bureaucracy and bureaucracys are not designed to react quickly to anything. For example, I work at a university, and my "emergency hire" took more than six weeks. Anytime you have that many layers, response will be atrocious.
Iraq.....well, I certainly don't think things are going swimmingly, but I also think the media is totally full of crap and only presents one side of the story. I base that allegation on conversations I've had with men and women who have served there, and on the fact that reenlistment is up.
I don't buy for one single second that Kerry's comments were a "joke". If they were, why didn't he say that in the first place? The joke excuse was his second story on the situation. Remember? At first, he said it was a slam on the President, but when the outrage continued, THEN it became a "joke". Seems to me that Kerry should get his story straight BEFORE he starts the spin.
The National Guard isn't "real military"? That's going to come as a surprise to a lot of them, especially since many of our Guard has served in Iraq. I think it's pretty sad that so many people rip the Guard apart when they really just want to burn the President.

You're right. Republican's have no right to use this as a political manouver and for them to do so shows how low class they are. It's really a good example of how far they have to reach to find some leverage in this year's election.
On the flip side, was it really a botched joke? Or is this whole "botched joke" thing a cover up for a reaction JK didn't expect?
Either way, JK has taken this entire anti Iraq/Bush topic too far. He needs to find new material.

I advise that the better shrink for contributions be executed away with, and that the optimum payouts in retirement nevertheless stay as they're, adjusted for inflation. Social safety isn't a "provide away" application yet one that all of us make contributions to love a reductions plan, and can be shielded from different makes use of by way of the government. Do you compromise or disagree and why? while you're so apprehensive approximately it then why do no longer you; first placed it returned into the internal maximum sector and make to have been no can take out money from it for his or her own interest, 2nd pay returned each and every penny you have borrowed from the two Social safety and Medicare, 0.33 take the unlawful immigrants off of it and people who come over right here yet on no account paid a penny to it, and finally have it the comparable for each individual; in different words government officers are to take part in it and in the event that they choose something extra they do it on their own without the tax payers investment it?yet, the economic stytem feeding the imbalances had on no account been fairly replaced. They, a set of scholars, reported that one and all costs of interest may be 3% or much less for each individual to develop into prosperous if needed (that ought to be genuine additionally to taces). the main suitable financial undertaking may be, they reported, while there have been no costs of interest. Why no longer do this answer? the prosperous might nevertheless be prosperous. My question is: while soial safety turns right into a topic linked to federal money owed, why no longer artwork with a balanced or benefit funds and spend no extra effective than is presented in, as any family members has to try for? Why no longer ban all loobying presents with the intention to get regulations that serve the country? God bless united statesa..

Kerry was and is still a snobbish buffoon with a distain for the military going back to the late 60s. He got a purple heart for playing with a phucking grenade in a non-combat area and had to have shapnel removed from his butt cheek.
I think we need to cut more taxes and cut more spending. I am pissed the libs in congress "including" the republican libs saw fit to pass a medicare prescription plan which did more to inflame the budget deficit then the current expenditures on the military.
It seems to me as far as Katrina the blame needs to be spread around, from the idiots that live in places below sea level to a corruption from NOLA to the State of Louisiana since the days of Huey Long.
You dolt libs are short sited.

Do you think if John Kerry would a won the elections in this country would been better. Remember John Kerry don't usually remember what he said two or three hour ago. He say something but people misunderstand him. Imaging if he give an order, do you think people will have to ask him to write it down so there is no mistakes. How could you be a leader like that.. Well we rather have Mr Bush..OK

A great leader nevers needs to put someone or something
down in speeches. And as for all your info, let's not forget
the Reps got a government controlled by the Dems for decades
and nothing is worse than trying to clean up a "mess".
You will never be happy, so why don't you just stay home
on election day. It would probably be a waste of time for you.

Love how you lump all that on the President. Also love how you criticize GB for 'not serving in the military', did you forget that Clinton was a DRAFT DODGER?. Do you think that the democratic governor and major had ANYTHING to do with why NO is in such sad shape?

Certainly...they've been waiting and praying for anything to deflect fickle finger of fate to redirect the news of the day...they'll work this one right up to the election. Just watch them twist and turn this one to their full advantage. It is truly the only thing they do well. Deceive.
