I can tell you that using a 6 inch nail is not the way! I take it that was your first attempt?
I find that when it comes to clearing anything from your nostrils that snorting a bit of coke does wonders. Although the bubbles do make me a bit light headed.

Only a 3 years +, out of date, tube of Aquafresh toothpaste applied with the nib of an antique fountain pen!

Leave it there. In fact add more to it so it completely seals your nostrils. Then do the same to your mouth and learn to breathe through your ears.

put you head in a freezer , for an hour . it will freez and brake off
or put yor head in boiling water for half an hour ,. it will peel off . the glue may peel off to

i found sniffing petrol works for me.
