I've been taught that the Universe is "infinite" which to my understanding means "never ending"..This., to me, is mind-boggling.since we've also been taught that almost everything has a beginning and an end. Thats where the conflict begins, or should I say ends.

The Universe in not infinite. The current line of thinking is that the Universe is "Finite and unbounded". Meaning, there is no edge of the Universe. You could never reach a sign that's says, "Caution: Your Leaving th Universe!" If you were able to be outside of the Universe and looking down at it, then by definition, you would be inside of the Universe.
