2.) let x=the number
.75x = 150

3.) let x = faulty parts PERCENTAGE
75/750 (10) = x%

NOTE: divide the faulty parts by the total parts (75/750), then multiply that by 10, to get percentage. you should get 10%

4.) let x = the number
.065x = 325

NOTE: divide .065 by each side, and you should get 5000. example below

.065x = 325
(/.065) = (/.065)
x = 5000

1. change to a decimal 1.2 change to percent 120%
2. This is a little strange, but the base is the unknown, the rate is 75%, and the amount is 150
3. Faulty and defective are the same thing so 75/750 is the answer, or .1 or 10%
4. 325 times .065 or 21.125
5. Estimate about half 750

1- 1 =100 + 1/5= 20% = 120%
2. .75 divided by 3 = 25 X 4 =100
3. 750 divided by 75 =10%
4. 325 divided by 100= 0.065 X 325 = 5000
5 1500 divided by .483 = 74.5
