Personally, I think that self-worth is about feeling good about yourself, and having confidence in everything or mostly everything that you do. I don't think any amount of money could make you feel better about yourself, and it shouldn't. Don't get me wrong, i LOVE money. But I don't think money makes a person. Your self-worth is basically how you feel on the inside, if you feel like crap, your not going to think very highly of yourself, and your self worth won't be very high either. So it's all about the way you feel in my oppinion.

Also, I think society has a lot of effect on how people determine their self worth. People are put down for stupid reasons daily, and that doesn't help how they feel about them selves, but it's society for you. And society SUCKS. Most of the time...>.<

NO WAY!!
My self worth would then be fairly low by worldly societal standards, at any rate!.......... we social workers really are after all the working poor!! and pretty happily so, but frankly, my self-worth could probably stand to be taken down a few notches, I am working on trying to be more humble!
Love your questions!

Sometimes your income and occupation have nothing to do with your real talents and what you're truly capable of. From 9 to 3 I'm a complete desk-dork then I come home and party hearty with my boyfriend, who is the reason why I'm fluent in Urdu. My desk job has NOTHING to do with Urdu.

I don't make any money and am quite poor, but I have great self esteem. I'm proud of being creative and intelligent and, so I've been told, attractive.

No! My self worth is what I feel as to what kind of person I have become. Good? Or bad?

Me and my husband are both artists, so we expect to be poor forever. Still, its hard to see someone like my sister doing better than me financially and not feel bad about it.

Guess I'll just go make a painting to make myself feel better...

Anyone want to buy a painting?!

Part of my self-worth is derived from money, and I think that someone who says that money doesn't matter to them is either a liar or crazy.
