You've asked three fraction addition questions. If we answer every one of them for you, you won't learn how to do them. Find a common denominator, in this case 18, then multiply the fractions by appropriate ratios, and add the numerators. 8/9 + 5/6 is equal to 16/18 + 15/18. 16+15=31, so the answer is 31/18, which cannot be further reduced.

Get a common denominator by taking the lowest common multiple of 9 and 6.
LCM(9,6) = 18

To turn the first fraction into one over 18, multiply top and bottom by 2:
8/9 = 16/18

To turn the second fraction into one over 18, multiply top and bottom by 3:
5/6 = 15/18

Now you can easily add:
16/18 + 15/18 = 31/18

Turn this into a mixed fraction:
1 13/18

That's your answer as a fraction.

This is not that hard of a problem to calculate. You can do it. Just take it step by step.

1. First, find your order of operations. Multiplication and division ALWAYS comes before division. So, you'll first have to figure out 8/9 and 5/6.

2. Take the answers and reinsert them into the equation. It should look like this: 0.89 + 0.83.

Finally, all you need is to use your calculator. 0.89+0.83=1.72.
You're done! See, I told you it would be easy!
