Funny, Kerry considered a soldier.
Only a lib would gloss Kerry's disgraceful remark in this fashion.
Mr. Heinz only offered a kind of an apology because George Soros ordered him to.

Yeah, but did you read his motivation for doing so?
"Yet his apology, issued after prominent Democrats had urged him to cancel public appearances, was designed to quell a controversy that party leaders feared would stall their drive for big gains on Nov. 7."

Yes.....Here is the complete statement............
November 1, 2006
Statement of Senator John Kerry
As a combat veteran, I want to make it clear to anyone in uniform and to their loved ones: my poorly stated joke at a rally was not about, and never intended to refer to any troop.
I sincerely regret that my words were misinterpreted to wrongly imply anything negative about those in uniform, and I personally apologize to any service member, family member, or American who was offended.
It is clear the Republican Party would rather talk about anything but their failed security policy. I don’t want my verbal slip to be a diversion from the real issues. I will continue to fight for a change of course to provide real security for our country, and a winning strategy for our troops.

I am glad he apologized. You know, he worded himself incorrectly. I will be his interpreter. He meant that if you do not make a conscious decision to be smart, you wind up bringing your troops into Iraq.
SEE?? He was talking about the Bush Administration. Don't let people make you believe that he, as a veteran and a senator supporting the troops for 20 years, was disrespecting the troops. He wasn't.

That's more than our president's ever done.
Anyway, no matter how the GOP spins it, what he said was true: People who don't educate themselves, unfortunatelly, do get stuck being sent to Iraq. I would think every parent would want tell his child that!

I thought he didn't do anything wrong. What message is he trying to send to the American people?

He probably needs to expand the apology a bit, since he also insulted his own base.
