In my spare time I test antivirus an antispyware programs to see if they perform as claimed. Or to see if their is hidden embedded trojans or spyware in their program or the wizard installer used to guide you through the installation.

Nortons has been junk for many years and continues to get worse each an every year. Will find nothing and will remove nothing. Just one big resource hog like Mcafee.

Remove the program an install a true free state of the art antivirus program. http://www.avast.com This program their free for personal home use has an excellent background scanner that really work in realtimes, to stop any trojan or virus from entering into your system. Plus you get daily automatic updates two or three times per day.

They only charge corporate. Both versions are 100% the same.

They will ask you for your email address so they can send you a free key that is good for one year. After the one year you must request another free key. I use this antivirus an I never had one virus in my system for nine plus years.
