I have and I didn't like it at all. I thought it was very delapidated and run-down. Anybody agree??

Yes, but it is my favorite place to go in the whole world because alot can be done to make a difference. I am leaving for there in two weeks bringing coats and sweaters to the most needy.
It is very unsanitary, they have poor dental care, and 97% of the land is just desert.
I wouldn't recommend what I have seen for a vacation but I am brining my friends there to make a difference.

spent nearly a year there

Had a love-hate relationship with it due to noise, pollution and touts but I love it all the same and miss it.

I especially miss the vibrant nightlife of Cairo.

You have to look past the run-down parts (some of which are charming anyhow) and find the gems that Egypt has to offer.

How sad you didn't enjoy. I found the people, the sites, smells and sounds so exotic and just down right amazing. I can't wait to go back.

I didn't find Egypt as dilapidated or sad as Mexico. I guess its all perceptions.

Thanks for your comment .I appreciate that you cared to express your view about my country.
Anyway, I would love to attract your attention that this is not a proper question. This is a statement of your unwanted opinion. Some people may report you for it and you will be penalized for violating the rules.
Fortunately for you I won't do it because i don't like wasting my time on trivial matters.I also want this question to remain posted as an example of how rude people are.
