I just had an 2nd interview that lasted over 2 hours! Is that insane or is it just me?

2 hours is a long time if you are talking to one person. My shortest interviews lasted about 15 minutes. My longest job interview was 3 hours. I interviewed each person an hour. So, three people total. I definitely know what you mean. Be sure to get a drink when they ask you, it could last a long time! A long interview taxes you and the interviewers still expect you to be sharp even if it is the last person. Be sure to hae a good meal before a possible long interview. I heard some big name companies have an entire day interviews..so it is not that surprising to hear that the previous poster had an 8 hour interview.

By the way, I hope you got the job.

My longest job interview lasted 8 hours. I was passed from one person to another every hour. Besides managers and potential peers, I was interviewed by the CIO and HR. Even my lunch hour was an interview over lunch!!

Eight hours is a very long interview process!! Lots of opportunity to give a wrong answer.

It wasn't a high-level position. Not like I would have made over $100k or anything either.
