Ok, even tho I'm a dem and liberal on SOME things, you're not right.
True-- R's tend to favor big business, true there was the concept of trickle down economics. But R's tend to want lower taxes in general. And, the tax cuts did affect pretty much everybody in the economic spectrum. The "rich" did get a better overall dollar figure but they pay more (alot more) so any percentage is going to be generally bigger than say those in the lowest quintile (who pay next to no taxes).
Most people are not just voting on tax issues btw... they also vote based on the wedge issues such as abortion, etc.
