It's your body's way of telling you to sleep! I'd seek help of a family or friend if you can, because you really do need the rest. Sorry about those shots though- I had a c-section, and had to have those-they really burn! Just talk to your doctor and ask him what all you can do to help it all.

Have you been checked for anemia? One general sign, (not always accurate though) is eating ice. If you're constantly wanting to chew on an ice cube, you may want to get checked. What is in the shot? If it's a 'blood thinner', that may be making you tired. Injecting straight into the clot is trying to keep the reaction to it localized. Are you taking prenatal vitamins? You're not really eating for two, That baby weighs less than a pound most of the pregnancy, but it's using more energy than a grown man. Check with your doctor.
As for the 2 year old, turn off the TV and read to him. TV makes kids hyper, because they don't get feedback, only input. This is not referring to ADD just a temporary condition following overstimulation. Reading lets him talk and get a response, so he'll be calmer, and you won't be so frazzled.
Hope this helps.

I know this will sound repetitive..but I had the same problem, the doc did a blood test and my iron was low. I started taking an iron pill everyday in addition to my prenatal vitamin and I starting feeling alot better after that. Also- it's gonna be harder this time around too cause not only are you growing a baby inside of you, but you are also taking care of a little one. Just get as much rest as you can, I understand what you are going through completely...I have a 3 yr old and I'm due in 8 weeks.

Hey sweetpea…..welcome to pregnancy again. The baby is getting bigger and heavier so you must expect to be a little more tired. However, you might want to ask your doctor about some vitamins that will help you with your energy level and that will not harm the baby so that you can spend more time with the two year old. I had my two children like that. I was pregnant and my oldest daughter was two. She was the busiest little thing, so what I did was put her in daycare so that I could get some rest or just breathe and exhale for a min. Try and get some friends or family to take your little one for a few hours so that you can regain your composure and then get back at her. I know the terrible twos will wear ya down. J Good luck sweetheart.

I was so glad to read this from you because I am 21 weeks and more tired than earlier too. I thought it was just me! I think it could be low iron or anemia. Take an extra iron pill with your prenatals. We should probably be eating more protein too. Your body needs that to sustain the rapid growth of the baby during this time of the pregnancy. I'm sure there are other reasons, but those are all I can think of. I know the baby is growing like crazy during this time, and he is probably taking all of everything that we eat and leaving none for us. Maybe ask your doctor what foods you can eat that will sustain you both better. I hope it gets better for your sake and mine. Good luck.

I know it is hard to do, but you may need to enlist some help for you to get some rest. The last months you may end up on bed rest anyway with that clot. Make sure you are taking your prenatal vitamins, you shouldn't get as sick on them now as in the beginning. And Good Luck to you!

Have you had your iron levels checked lately? You could be anemic. And since you are on blood thinning shots, you being anemic is very possible. You should have your dr check your Hemoglobin and Hematacrit.
