Okay so I live in Saddle River but I went trick or treating with my friends in Ramsey. [Im in 7th grade by the way.] There were 3 or 4 Mexicans in their 30s, and on our way to one of my friends house [which was 2 blocks away] they started unzipping their pants, and coming up to us like all "Come here, come here! You can stop by our house!" We ran and screamed, they were gunna rape us cuz one of our frnds sis told us that they saw them and were thinking about raping someone or something. We went to the haunted house where we knew the guy there was a fireman, he called the police. The Mexicans were caught and were illegal immagrents, and were deported back to Mexico and went to jail there. There were a lot of seventh graderes from our school and came when the police showed up, it wask the biggest thing that happened there. So today at school there were rumrs about that we REALLY DID get raped and someone payed for us to get hurt, one of my best friends was gunna move to Iowa after that.

People are looking at me like I’m not clean because they thought me and my friends, again, really DID get raped. Yesterday, I was scared and was shaking and I even like ran out of tears. [not kidding]. And also a lot of people were all like [Are you okay? Do you feel better?] People are crowding around me and I don’t even get personal space anymore from all those people coming up to me, I mean, me not breathing is not going to help me. This is going into our NEWSPAPER too, EVERYBODY I SEE will be like, where you one of the girls? How do I deal?

just be brave and face it. if anyone asked u anything, just tell them that nothing happened and that if something happened u would'nt be sitting there like that the very next day.

so actually nothing really happened and u dont care what the people say. just be defiant, b'cos if u fight shy or cry, then the saddists will make up stories to fit their imagination.

if somebody is persistant, then tell them that their daughter or sister also was one among your group and if something had happened to you, the same had happened to her also. and that if they continue tormenting u, then u would tell the others that they were also present there. just be brave girl and face it. dont cry.

Ok, I"m having a slightly hard time following this. Just last night, you were nearly accosted by a group of illegal mexicans and today the rumor around school is that you and your friends were raped and the mexicans are already deported back to mexico?

The only thing I find hard to believe is that they were deported so fast. Put in jail here, maybe. Already in mexico? I don't think even living right on the boarder would get them deported that fast. You sure they're not just in jail waiting for deportment?

And if this is going in the newspaper, it will clearly state that no one was raped. That should end that rumor.

Say to people when they ask you how you are just say to them: I am doing a whole lot better than if something had happened to me, I am just glad I ran away before anything could happen. If something did happen then you should tell someone or if you start feeling scared for know reason you should talk to someone. Sorry that you had a nasty experience and i hope you feel OK and solve your problem.

First of all, you did nothing wrong. If you're still in school maybe you could talk to your counselor and tell him/her what happened. They can help you deal with whatever aftermath other students might do. They can also offer a safe place to go and talk.

Sounds like a scary event, to be sure. However, you have to calm yourself and those around you. As you said, nothing did happen to you and you must make sure that everyone knows it. Don't allow an untruth to grow into something bigger than it is.

most important , you were not raped. people are cruel and ignorant. just try to ignore them . it will be forgotten . talk to your counselor or principal if it gets real bad...
