Hi everyone- I'm in the process of upgrading my computer and was wondering if this card is any good? Hoping to play the like of Company of Heroes & Fear etc on medium definition.

Asus A8n SLI deluxe
1 gb consair ddr (2x512mb) upgrading to 2 soon!
450PSU
3700amd 64 'san diego core'

great thanks for the answers there - i have being doing some research and these are the 2 that are standing out.

-7900Gs 256 (or the 512 which is about 40quid more)
-MSI 7600GT

i'm buying though Ebay as i'm paying through paypal. Might sound lazy but can anyone recommend a better card or are these the best out there - price range 130-160.This is really doing my head in as so many options!!!! thanks for the help everyone!

yes, that is a good card for gaming....I think it's supported in SLI mode as well.(the 7800's are) I would check out nvidia.com and make sure the GS card supports SLI.

Short answer (if you're talking aobut the FX 7900) is Yes, that is one of the latest cards out there on the market today. But because it is the GS version it is on the lower end of the 7900 range. But still a great card.

yeah, sure... thats actually a killer card...

but, the card means only as much as the rest of your system can handle... that includes monitor.

but, as you are in the process of upgrading... dont cheat yourself by going lower in a different area...
