The absence of God is just the normal state of the universe. There is no God; there has never been a God; there never will be a God. The absence of God is called reality.

Nope you are wrong on that one. God is not the source of evil. Evil is the turning away from the good i.e. God. Evil is the absence of God. Milton's Lucifer explains it very well in Paradise Lost when he bemoans the fact that in his arrogance he has turned away from God and is himself the source of all his pain. Lucifer realizes that the very turning away is the act that places him in Hell. Hell is not so much a place as a state of being when he has turned away from the good. To quote:
"Chose freely what it now so justly rues.
Me miserable! which way shall I fly
Infinite Wrath, and infinite despair?
Which way I fly is Hell; myself am Hell
I think that the best way to explain it is that evil is like an emptiness. A vacuum that causes great pain. God gives us the free will to choose that emptiness and that is what Lucifer chose. Of course, you can always turn back to the good if you want to. But it is a choice.

The absence of God biblically becomes a real difficult situation. But some believe it means you have abandoned him and shut him out and sold your soul to the Devil. Others believe in Atheism and others know that God is in everything so his being not ever ceases to exist in all. But on a personal level it would mean you have abandoned your faith in God and you are lost but you can be brought back to the energy by restoring your faith in him.

My thoughts err the way I might rationalize the question. The absence of god is literally nothing. We are all divine individuals with in our own being. So in a sense god is in me and I become a reflection of that “essence”. Sooo…It’s also like saying why do I need to go to church when all I have to do is look in the mirror aka Self-realization

There is no way to answer this question without a good definition of what you mean by God. If, for you, God is nitrogen, then we would all choke to death in a matter of minutes.

People make their own evil, not God. Believing in him brings everlasting life.

No, its not the absense of God that makes evil, man does that all by himself. And quite well I might add.
