I never hear women call men boys, they usually say guys.

I don't take offense to it. I too call men "boys".

The thing that does drive me crazy though is when a man or woman calls me honey, sweetie, hun, sug, etc....

That I take offense too. It's like people think it's sweet, but don't give me a freaking pet name if you don't know me. I call my boyfriend things like that. Geez, if you're going to bother calling people anything at the end of your sentence....why not just ask their name.

I think it depends on the intent. Some in the older generations, that's all they've known. They don't mean ill by it. But it can be said in a very insulting way, too. So, it depends.

And yeah, I do call my coworkers "boys" time to time.

Words themselves are neither bad nor good. They're just tools that can be used for bad or good.

I Think when a guy calls me a girl when I am a women that just makes him look stupid.

Yes. It's patronizing and degrading. Girls are female children. Women are female adults.
