19,894+ Pretty long and boring. but the tootsie roll always tastes good!!! I just bite it after a while.

I had a math class in high school actually do this. We went through a box of 100 tootsie pops and if you consider the "center" as being able to see the tootsie carmel inside and not the stick, then we averaged 114 licks over the 100 pops.

Never liked tootsie pops. They have tootsie roll stuff at the center. What exactly are tootsie rolls made of anyways? They're too chewy. Blow pops are better, especially the cherry flavored ones. Not sure of how many licks it takes to get to the center. I always end up biting mine halfway through.

The owl on the commercial says 3. But it takes so many that I wouldn't have the patience to sit & count them.
