The fastest production car is the Koenigsegg CCR, which is manufactured in Sweden. It barely beat out the Mclaren F1 which had been the fastest production car for the previous 10 years. I don't quite know if a CCR is available in the US, but I have heard of several Mclarens in the States.

im not exactly sure about the fastest car in the united states but the fastest car in the world in the koenisegg ccx and there is one dealership in the us in las vegas. so im sure it is the fastest car.
no way is a lamborghini the fastest because even a mitsubishi evo is faster than that.

bad question. do you mean fastest car from the factory? what are your criteria for fastest? Are you considering top fuel dragsters, funny cars? or just production cars? Funny cars run like 4s in the 1/4. some foxbody mustangs and the like run 6s. as for the fastest production car from the factory, I'm not sure. and skylines aren't even sold in the US
