Lenny Bruce revolutionized stand up forever and is a close second, but I think that I'm going to have to go to Groucho Marx.

PS, anyone that goes with Dane Cook needs to have a serious re-education in the realm of comedy.

I saw Robin Williams on tape...he walked into I think it was the comedy club in LA and got up on stage and starting telling all these funny stories etc. I just about died laughing. He's really funny when he can get up on stage and is free to do stuff and not have to follow a script like he does on tv.
