no it's not. Sometimes even spotting could indicate a problem, but heavy bleeding definitely needs the doctor's attention asap.

Actually it can happen.

My older friend's sister did not know she was pregnant until she was in her 8th month b/c she kept getting her period. It doesn't happen often, but it does happen.

I'd check w/my doctor to be sure everything is okay...
