All though Communism is a corrupt government of today, Karl Marx's ideas were valid. Do not respond to this question if you have never read any of Karl Marx's material.

I have read his work.
But I don't agree with it.

I am a student of Marxian literature. His ideas were as valid then, now and will be in future. Just because Russian failed and China also did(though it hindes behind a facade of communism) it is because of man's incompetence. It does not invalidate the thinking. In fact, the basic idea of social justice it advocates on solid economic principles and not just empty socialist dreams have, whether they admit or not, described all societies. It is not for not for nothing that a tiny Cuba can withstand the mighty USA, even without a Kruchev to back it up with atomic weapons.Or take North Korea which defies Bush with its atomic explosions.A communist regime, however diluted it may be,democratically elected has been ruling West Bengal in India for more than quarter of a centure(not to speak of Manipur,Kerala and the relentless struggle for social justice of the Naxalites).
