I have been doing Black friday for 10 years now with my mom and every year we start at about 11:30 the night before and go to kmart since there ad sometimes starts at midnight instead of 6 like it is supposed to and then I go to Wal-Mart since usually it is open and start to get my Price Matching items from other ads especially like CDs and Dvds that are at Target, Best Buy & Circuit City sometimes even Toys R' US while I wait since sometimes it is impossible to make it to those stores with out waiting over 2 hours in line to checkout. Then when I am done I go next door to Office Depot pick up the little things like computer paper and memory cards whatever else is a good deal there. Then it is off to the Mall for Penny's, Mervyn's and well this year Macy since Robinsons May is gone.
I usually make it a point to try to be done by 10 so it can give us an hour to look over the ads and make sure we haven't missed anything and also to make sure the Rebates get filled out and sent that same day.
This year I hope they have a good Desktop Computer for about $200 since mine broke and I miss using a regular computer instead of a laptop. Also maybe a new Sewing Machine and like a Pool Table would be nice plus a few new games too. One thing I wish they would have on sale is Pet stuff like Dog Clothes and Toys really cheap.

I've only been shopping on black Friday once about 2 years ago. I had to work so I went to Walmart about an hour before it opened. The line was all the way down the block, but I got what I went for: a tv/dvd combo for like $80. And that was the first and last time I will ever go shopping on that day again!

I like to go shopping the day after Thanksgiving. I usually won't know where I'm going or what I'll buy until after I look at all the ads that come with the paper on Thanksgiving. That's how I plan my strategy. Going thru the paper on Thanksgiving morning before the whole family shows up for dinner is almost as much of a tradition as the shopping itself!!!!

My daughter and I started that tradition a few years ago. (She is only 8 now, and it was her idea). Her and I get up early, go out in the cold in our sweats...and have so much fun!
We usually go about 6am or so, and hit a variety of stores. There is not a particular item I am hoping to get a good deal on this year, we'll see what the sale ads are saying. The only place we wont go is Walmart - that place is a zoo when its not Black Friday.

Well, Thanksgiving is over in Canada, in regard to the first comment. I have gone shopping at like 5am on Black Friday in the past. I won't be this year, as I will be working. But, I still hope to get a good deal on a comforter set and various sweaters.

I actually don't - it's high stress and nuts in Chicago. I went one year and got slapped by another woman going for the same scarf. That was it! No more for me - I spend a lot of time online shopping throughout the year, or picking up things I see throughout the year that would be a great gift for someone on my list. By the time Black Friday comes I spend the day relaxing.

I do enjoy going shopping on BF...I usually go the earliest possible in order to get a decent spot to park and get into the stores when they open. I mostly go for the sales and to see if there is anything good I can use for xmas presents. I can't wait this year!! Only a few more weeks :)

I usually go and my best friend and I start at around 7:00 to do some shopping. We usually hit the big department stores and walmart if we are looking for something in particular. I dont know if I am going to do it this year or not though. I am just doing gift cards for everyone this year!!

Like 4:30 am. I only went one time though. I hate crowds with a passion. I am very impatient. I went to Wal-Mart and Best Buy. I also went to Kohls and a few other stores at the mall.
