"Discover" is not the best word. Einstein worked to make major contributions to what the world knew about quantum theory and statistical mechanics. He is best known for the Theory of Relativity (specifically mass-energy equivalence, E=mc2). He was awarded the 1921 Nobel Prize for Physics. His explanation of the photoelectric effect was the major reason for the award.

Einstein didn't really DISCOVER anything as much as he did put forward a clearer theory of universal unity, relativity, and macro-physics. In response to the guy above me, Einstein was a terrible mathematician, he was a physicist.

Several things. In addition to the Special and General Theories of Relativity, he discovered a mathematical explanation for the photoelectric effect (scored a Nobel prize for that) and also did important work on diffusion in fluids. He spent the last years of his life working on a Theory of Everything; he never found one, and neither has anyone else. (It's a hideously difficult problem.)

I don't know if he discovered anything, however, he did come up with the theory or relativity. E=mc2.

Two things that enhance my spiritual path, being as he was a student of the secret knowledge also, He said: that the past, present and future are one, that there was no such thing as time.
also that this earth / world is nothing more than an illusion, where we are its creators.
