I think it just turns some voters off and makes them not to want to go to the polls. Im one of those people. Canidates who are running should just focus on what they want to accomplish and should also focus on the needs of the American people. Not making themselves look good by bashing someone else.

I definitely agree with you. Negative campaigning is not the way to win friends or influence voters. However, politicians seem to think it works. I think it makes them look like liars and bullies. But cheer up. In another week it will all be over with -- at least until the next election. I know it ruins it for the voters, but they should still go to the polls. Otherwise, the loud mouths will have achieved their goal.

Well, I haven't seen any, but then again the only show I watch is Prison Break, and not one political campaign cares to buy a commercial in that expensive time slot

I am - and the whole thing goes on for too long...

In the UK I think the election for PM is over in about 6 weeks, while in the US we have people campaining for 2008 already.

It doesn't turn me off of voting, I just trash the flyers and take the phone off the hook. I then go and read for myself!

they are so busy bashing each other that not one is saying what they will do for you perhaps thats why when they get to office they dont do anything cause they promised nothing
