I guess if I was as far down in the polls as they were I'd desperate for a distraction too. I guess that's why they can't take a joke.

One wonders if they realize that Kerry is up for re-election and doesn't speak for the Democratic party.

Haven't you noticed they have always used distractions that have nothing to do with the topics on hand?

What the media is touting as a "joke" about going to Iraq...Kerry stirred controversy when he told a group of California students two days ago that individuals who don't study hard and do their homework would likely "get stuck in Iraq". HIS QUOTE. WHY ARE THE DEMOCRATS ASKING KERRY TO KEEP A LOW PROFILE? Party leaders privately urged Kerry to lower his public profile, according to several officials. Congressional candidates in Iowa and Minnesota said they no longer wanted him to appear at their scheduled rallies. "Whatever the intent, Senator Kerry was wrong to say what he said. He needs to apologize to our troops," said Rep. Harold Ford (DEMOCRAT) (news, bio, voting record) Jr., locked in a close Senate race in Tennessee. and the other side--"Anybody who is in a position to serve this country ought to understand the consequences of words. ... We've got incredible people in our military, and they deserve full praise and full support of this government," Bush said in an interview with conservative talk-radio personality Rush Limbaugh. That statement by Kerry, after he recognized his stupid blunder then tried to indicate it was a "botched joke".
Even if that is true, it is a very disturbing, sick joke by a supposed educated man that should have known better.

I would have to ask why Democrats are using Foley as a distraction from their own incompetence and criminality.

Kerry made a mistake in diction, can you imagine?

If the word us is inserted in his statement, it makes sense.

“Do you know where you end up if you don’t study, if you aren’t smart, if you’re intellectually lazy? You end up getting [us] stuck in a war in Iraq. [Just ask President Bush].”

Why would he insult service members when he has always championed their rights.

Yes you sure do talk like a democrate. Completly uneducated. You need to read more about the Democrates and what they are really going to do to this country IF they win over the House and the Senate. Because you to my friend will wish you didn't vote for the democrates.
