If you have a guess on the exact day you conceived, then you can wait about a week after and a test may turn positive for you. But at the very least, you should wait 2 weeks after a possible conception, or at least when you miss your period.

You could take the test 2 days before your expecting your period with the Clear Blue Test. At the clinic you have to be late for your period at least 5 days or they wont test you.
The cheap tests you have to be late for your peroid abou 1-5 days! But then again, they always dont work!

Most home pregnancy kits can be within 99% accuracy within 48 hrs of conception. If you think you're about 3 weeks, get one. If it shows positive, go to your family doctor or walk-in clinic and have the doctors do a urinalisys to confirm.

ovulation is usually 2 weeks before bleeding starts so if you have missed your first period do it now. for a more defined result your doctor can do a blood and/or urine test, but you may have to pay for this.
