I'd keep $100,000.00 for myself. Give my best friends (3) $100,000.00 eac.

The rest I would give to my church. We are a small newly started church using a school's dining hall for worship and another facilty for weekly Bible Study.

We are looking at buying 'used' church buildings, but would really like to build our own and that $600,000.00 would go a long way to making it happen...

Ditto on Jason's answer--put it to work for you, and most of what you spend should be on practical, lasting items. Get a house you can pay cash for, or figure out how to invest it to make income. With 1.5 million after taxes, I'd guess (im not a financial planner, and you'd need one), you could invest it safely in funds and make 50,000 a year from it that you could spend without touching your 1.5 mill. Real estate is also a good investment, just make sure you can afford the 'other' costs of owning the home, like upkeep and property taxes.

A third of lotto winners go bankrupt because they spend money badly and give too much away. Just because you have a lot of money doesn't mean you can spend it foolishly.

Pay off MY bills, then get a divorce. Buy a house with some land and a new truck, and keep my job. One mil will not last long, so I would still want the income. Besides, stupid as it sounds, I like working. If I had a million dollars, I may just transfer my job and take my southern food to Michigan.

If I won a million dollars, I would publicly donate the entire amount to help build the wall to keep illegal aliens out.

A million $ won't last forever. I'd buy a nice little house for like $300k, a new car, and put the rest into mutual funds.

Help my family out, and give most to my hubby so he could quit his job for awhile and find something to make him happy! I honestly don't think it would go really far now a days!
