I know that smoking kills more then alcohol, drugs, murder, suicide, road and other accidents put together... I just need the stats on drugs alchohol and smoking in england please!!

You won't find stats to back this up because smoking is not a "cause" of death that will be recorded on death certificates. Actually, neither is "drugs". People die from diseases such as heart failure, lung cancer and emphysemia and then it is observed that smokers die more often than non-smokers from these "causes". Smoking increases the statistical probability of getting several conditions, most notably lung and heart conditions, and ON AVERAGE smokers die several years younger than non-smokers, but any figures you read for "smoking related deaths" are guesses.

SCIENTISTS have paved the way for a simple blood test that detects lung cancer, the biggest cancer killer in the United Kingdom.

I quit drinking since october , i was more like a social drinker , but it use to make me happy and funny ... and more open with ladies actually :) As for smoking , tried and wish to quit but couldn`t . I start to get nervous once i run short of nicotine .. i know bad . Drugs , tried a couple of ciggies in Amsterdam back in 2007 just for the fun of it .
