Yes, quite possible. Untreated, Bipolar Disorder worsens with age, and paranoia and other psychotic symptoms are associated with extreme mania.

I am bipolar. Paranoia is common but it does get better as you get older. If you take the right meds you will not have the paranoia you once had. I take seroquil at night when I go to bed. I feel fine all day.
