The Millers tale is supposed to be a parody of The Knights Tale and the Miller goes against the attitudes of everybody knowing their place. Chaucer satirises the two suitors . I know The Knights Tale better than I do of this one but I know there is an example of extended metaphor at the end of the poem when they are referring to Noahs flood.
