I would like to make an advertisement, which has a unique phone number only for that ad. Then be able to track the ad by how many people called the number. This way I could see how many people called the number from the ad. How would I get this type of phone number and tracking?

That's done all the time in direct response advertising.

Call your local phone company, or look them up online. They will absolutely be able to set you up with a unique phone number and track the incoming calls for you. Also, be sure and ask them about the information they can provide with the tracking. For instance, you'll want to know what time of day your calls came in as well as what part of town the calls came from. That way you can refine your advertising to better reach those parts of town where you have the best chance of getting more business.

There's many companies that you can pay for unique phone numbers, either toll or toll-free. My agency uses a company called Kall8 (www.kall8.com). There's another company out there called Who's Calling, and I hear they also offer extensive tracking and reporting.
