Then vote for a third party canidate. I'd love to see a third party a real third party rise in this country, that would scare the bajeezus out of the Dems and war mongering Republicans.

The Democrats held the House and Senate for 30 years. When they were 'tossed out', it was because of minor scandals like "getting loans from the house bank" and "using the congressional post office for campaign mailings". These were wrong, but comparatively minor.
The Republicans have been in power for less than 10 years, in that time, two of them have been thrown in jail, many others have been forced to resign, BILLIONS of taxpayer dollars have literally disappeared and they have taken no action to discover why (because it would embarrass Bush).
To say there is no difference is foolish. Now more than ever, the difference between the parties is evident. Is the Democratic party perfect, is every Democrat a great person, no. But, their platform is a lot closer to what most American believe. While the Republicans are caught in lie after lie.
If you want to vote independent... go ahead. But realize, if the Republicans stay in office, things will only get worse and worse.

Mainly we vote for the two major parties because no third party candidate has EVER won the presidency. If you want to make your vote really count you have to vote for either a Republican or Democratic candidate. In 1836 the Whig candidate lost, in 1860 the Constitutional Union candidate lost, in 1912 the Bull Moose party Candidate lost, in 1948 thd Dixiecrat party candidate lost, in 1968 the American Independent party candidate lost, in 1972 the American party candidate lost, in 1980 the Independent party candidate lost, in 1992 the Independent party candidate lost, in 2000 the Green party candidate lost (ans cost Al Gore the presidency) etc... NO THIRD party candidate has ever won, they have only spoiled the chances for a viable two-party candidate to win.
Sorry, but that's the reality of politics today.

people don't vote for a third party in mass because they are afraid that if they do the other party that they really don't like will win and they don't want that to happen.
I think that if all democrats for example, agreed to vote for the green party, and all republicans agreed to vote for the libertarian party then corruption would decrease for a while but after some time in power these new people would become corrupt.
for your info I think that term limits are the only way to prevent corruption in government.

Either party is a terrible choice. On the WHOLE political spectrum the parties are only slightly different in ideology and policies, and are mostly funded by the same people. There really is no choice.

SO NOW WE CAN BE MANIPULATED AND LIED TO BY THE DEMOCRATS . GREAT CHOICE. THE DEMOCRATIC CANDIDATES ARE A JOKE THEY ARE CORRUPT AND ARE LOOKING TO FILL THEIR POCKETS. IF THE DEMOCRATS GET INTO OFFICE THE TAX RATE WILL GO THROUGH THE ROOF. LIKE EVERY OTHER TIME THE DEMOCRATS HAVE HAD POWER. THE WILL SHOWER THE TERRORIST WITH MONEY AND HOPE THE PROBLEM GOES AWAY.

In a system that requires millions to challenge the Democrat and Republican duopoly, the only real hope is to force change from within.

Fine, move to a country that doesn't vote if that is honestly what you think. I hear Castro isn't killing anyone in the month of November.
