I have no parents (deceased). Most of my friends are out town for family and relatives Thanksgiving celebration, they are not invited to any friends. I don't want to get bored or lonely. My nearby relatives don't ceebrate in Thanksgiving ,but others live very long distance. Any ideas?

first go to a church and offer prayer and thanksgiving to God for making u what u r today and for all the blessings that has come your way.

then u could go to an orphanage or a home for the aged and spend some quality time with them.
u could donate something if its within your capacity, but then most of all they would appreciate it if u could spend some quality time with them.
remember, they are more lonely than u are. your company would be a mutual pleasure for all of u. good luck and God bless.............

You still have time to make some new friends! Go out to some nice social places before Thanksgiving and make some new friends. Or, you could forget yourself for the day and serve dinner at a shelter, visit a childrens' hospital or old folks' home, or look in your local paper for other volunteer opportunities. Or, you could go to a movie, ice skating, out to dinner.... There are plenty of fun places open on Thanksgiving. You might even make some friends while you're out that day!

Check out your local food pantries that serve food for the homeless. Check with your local church also for this kind of information. You can even go to a nursing home to help them out with patients for visits on that lonely day.

Pretend like you have no food, weapons, or prospects for survival. When the local natives feel sorry for you, they come over and bring lots of good food to keep you from starving. Later, wage war on them and take their land. Yahoo! Sounds like the start of a great tradition!
