Why are Jews Racist?

Question

I cannot understand why a lot of Jews are racist considering what happened in Germany under Hitler. You would think they would be overly sympathetic.

(specifically toward blacks, and I have met plenty of them)

Some Jews posting here seem to have a problem with the question. Yes there are racist Jews! May not be you but there are quite a few that I have met. I like all races and religions personally and cannot understand why people who have been persecuted to such an extent can do the same to others groups of people.

Unlike EVERY race that has been oppressed and then became humble, JEWS went through the holocaust, and came out worse than the people that put them there.

I don't believe that Jews are any more racist than any other race on this planet. We all have our prejudices. Moreover, you will see that the higher ranking echelons in the Anti-Difamation League are Jewish.

I will give you an example of the sympathetic nature of Jews. Maybe you do not remember, but back in the early '90s there was this war in Kosovo, where Slobodan Milosevic was slaughtering people for nothing more than being Moslems or Albanians. He wanted the former Yugoslavia to be populated only by Serbs. And who was the first one to speak out in the US against this? The name you are looing for is Elie Wiesel. Jewish, Nobel Peace Prize winner. He stood in front of President Bill Clinton and told him the US could not stand around while millions were slaughtered.

So don't come telling me about being more understanding or sympathetic. Jews marched with Dr. King in the South. Jews have been slaughtered not just by Hitler, but by the following:

Julius Caesar
Alexander
the Egyptians
The Philistines
The Babylonians.

BTW, I seem to remember a lot of Jews marching in the South during the 60s and getting killed too...Can't be too racist.

Not all Jews are racist. In fact, I've never met one who is. It's not fair to make giant sweeping generalizations of entire groups of people like this. Doing so just makes you sound ignorant yourself.

No, Jews are allowed to be racist because it's not only a race but a religion. Plus, the held over idea of the "chosen people" seems to give them the right to think that they are better than everyone else.
