Jimmy Carter was clearly the worst and I voted for him.

Ronald Reagan was the best. He is the reason I switched parties.

Although I like Carter as a person, Iwould have to say Bill C. Best, but not much to choose from, & worst- The reigning King Georgie

It's obvious that " BEACHBUM" keeps up to date on the realities of life. If it wasn't for the time frame I would have said FDR, also, Enjoy the quote:

" The battle for the mind of Ronald Reagan was like the trench warfare of World War I: Never have so many fought so hard for such barren terrain."

-Peggy Noonan, special assistant and speech writer to Reagan , 1984-'88

can't believe it'd say it but -- Ronald!!! He really did an outstanding job - especially in comparisson to the others. however it was also different times. i think now, if we have people being held captive - the hostage situation - somehow the bleeding heart liberals would make it all our fault and we'd end up imviting the captors to the US with full $$$$ priveleges.

worst is a tie with Carter and Clinton - but at least Carter was a humanitarian. i still wish ronnie would have let jimmie be a part of him saying the hostages are free - jimmie did spend more time trying then ronnie but.... Clinton - yeah what a joke.

Worst by far is Carter. He may be the worst president of all time. The jury is still out on the best but Reagan is up there.

FDR by far.

If it wasn't for FDR's New Deal, historians all agree that we were on the verge of becoming a 3rd world country during the Great Depression.

The New Deal transformed our capitalist economic system into a kind of pseudo socio-capitalist one recognizing that if you don't help the poor, you end up with monopolies, at that time like the Rockefellers, controlling the country.

FDR's New Deal literally pulled us out of the Great Depression and set us on the path that has made us such a great country today.

PS I can not believe how many morons said Ronald Reagan.
1 he committed treason when he made the arms deal with the Iran Contras while he was running for president in 1979. This came out in 1988 after a long independent counsel investigation.
2. he was declared a lame duck president in 1984...a president is declared lame duck when none of this agenda gets passed after a long period of time.
3. he signed a treaty with gorba.. but that was in the works for years and years before him. To give him any credit except for happening to be the man to sit at the table and put his signature at the time, is incredibly ignorant and naive.
4. we ended his 8 year presidency in a full-blown recession.
5. He accrued record deficits.
6. There is not ONE accomplishment anyone can name.
7. He supplied Osama B. Laden with arms in order to fight the Russians when they invaded Afghanistan. Another words, he empowered B.Laden.

My vote easily goes to Ronald Reagan. A great man, with a great sense of purpose, with a sharp wit to boot.

Best? Probably Clinton.

Worst? Bush The Lesser by a country mile with a dishonorable mention to Reagan.

Best all-time? Probably Jefferson.

Worst all-time? Bush The Lesser (a double winner!) with dishonorable mentions going to Nixon, Reagan, Harding.
