Since living as a grown up and getting my own places to live i have had others living there too in my first place i had an old man that lived there too i saw him only once. In my second place i shared it with an old lady called Alice she died in the house a month or 2 before i moved in never saw her but new she was there and she still is as my sister now has my old house. The house I'm in now has only a German Shepperd he's no bother he even like my cats lol. I have many pictures with pictures of spirit orbs which me and my kids enjoy taking. I'm a strong believer in spirits most call me mad and don't believe but i guess we are entitled to our opinions. Don't worry your not going mad some people are sensitive to spirits and some are not. Spirits don't like stress and tension as my sister found out with Alice it upsets them that the living are not happy. Did you have any family members that wore violet perfume, and do you know much about the many generations of people that lived in the house before you you might want to try and find out.

I have a presence in the house (call it a ghost or evil spirit/demon whatever you wish) that moves things around. It only seems to happen in my bathroom where I have 2 soft crab toys and candles that get moved on a regular basis.
I have also noticed a strong smell of flowery perfume from time to time in my living room (my mum has been here and smelled it as well). I NEVER use flowery perfume as I don't like the smell of it. Sometimes it really freaks me out as I suffer from paranoia, hallucinations and depression. It doesn't seem to be due to that as it happens when I'm ill or even when I'm not.

I had one in my old house. He was a little boy that would always bug me. He'd only leave me alone if I was in my room on my bed. There aren't any at my new house, but my Aunt has an apparition of a civil war era young lady walking around her house in Mississippi. its pretty interesting, since she can't ever see the young lady but the rest of the family has. I have a knack for sensing them, which is why I refuse to go into my friend's basment. Before they moved in (its a very old house) a little girl burned to death in a laundruy accident in the 1800's in the basement. I didn't know about it until after I had been to the house a few times, though I was too scared to go into the basment.

My best friend had a few at her old house. Theres was one male and he drove a white car. you could actually hear the car pulling up on the gravel but would never see a car. But when you would take a picture of her house the white car would be in drive way.He liked to hang around her bedroom door frame and from time to time you could see his outline.I remember being over one night sitting in her room looking over old pictures and we felt cold air between us at the same time we both felt what seemed like a hand on our leg.Like he was sitting there between us. I have 2 little tiny fairy windchimes hanging in like a door way on each side of the house. there is no way to get them things to chime unless you stand there flicking them.so i know when there is a presence in my house because the wind chimes start ringing. an you can also smell daisies.

We have lived in our house for 22 years and have had a presence for all those years, we think its a child as it tends to be mischievous, over the years we have put our house for sale 4 times but never sold it, someone told us our 'spirit' doesn't want us to go as it likes us, could be true I suppose, I wouldn't worry about it if I were you, as you don't know who it is then you have obviously never hurt it while alive so why would it hurt you now its dead, maybe it protects you when your stressed and trys to give you comfort, I would just accept it and not worry about it.

I had a ghost once in an old apartment. It always messed with electronics like changing the volume on the stereo, turning on/off the lights, etc. One day my little nephew visited (he was only 2 at that time) and we saw him talking to nobody. We found out later from the landlord that a little boy had died in the house years ago.

In my old house my partner celebrated his 21st birthday and then began a series of strange occurences on the landing just outside the small bedroom. It would go cold and you could feel something which would make the hairs on your neck stand up. We approached our local church who told us to check with neighbours if anything had been reported before and our neighbour told us that a previous occupant of the house 25 years before had gassed herself in the oven having spent many months pacing outside her 21 year old sons bedroom trying to listen at what he was doing. He had left home and her suicide was merely a cry for help in attempt to get her son to come home.... We eventually had a vicar come to our home to bless it and the presence was no more but it still makes me shiver some 18 years later.

We have several, two are children, and do 'mischievious things, like opening the musical box on my sisters dressing table, or spraying her perfume...one is an old lady who sits in the rocking chair by our fire and we see the thing rock on it's own...if the dogs asleep and he wakes and sees it rocking he goes mad barking. The other is a monk who always walks through the kitchen wall - loads of people have seen him. he used to be a hermit in a cell here many hundreds of years ago. My dad calls him 'Friar' as he's always in the kitchen!!!!!

Yes, I do but I've never experienced the things you're experiencing. Mostly, I see things once in a while (a shadow sitting on my bed, the image of my grandfather at the bottom of the stairs even though he died before I was born, that sort of thing) but my cats seem fine though they jump once in a while and hiss at nothing occasionally.
