I have a longer than average torso and it makes buying shirts really difficult. Most shirts my size end up being too short and exposing my stomach (something I think is tacky and don't want to do). So, does anyone else have this similar problem? It makes me hate buying clothes

Accessorize with a prominent, good looking and trendy belt. Also, make sure your top and bottom are not the same color; using the same color tends to elongate you and make you seem taller. So, different color top and pants, break it up visually at your waist. (Normally I wouldn't have a clue--but I've been sick all week and watching 10 Years Younger every day!).

why not buy your shirts for length rather than width (a few sizes too big so they are long enough) and have a tailor or friend to sew them in to fit. A lot of major malls have alterations booth that only charge a small fee to have your existing clothes adjusted to fit. That way you can pick up shirts that are in fashion at your favourite stores and still have them fitted and looking great

You can go to shops that make clothes for taller people. Also you can buy shirts that are a few sizes bigger than yours. The most important thing is to love and accept yourself.
