Joe Montana without a question.... but as to the QB that was great and was the most fun to watch.... that was without a doubt FRAN TARKENTON.... the sheer terror and frustration you saw in defensivemen when he got even a little light of day was truly exciting. You could almost feel opponents thinking ,

OH, f**K, am I going to look like sh*t on the postgame reels!!!
.
And he had relatively average offensive help around him most of his career. (Some great defenses withe the Vikes though)
.

i would have to say Joe Montana

The man owns a couple of records... definitely not more then marino but he does own some...

Montana has 4 Super bowl rings... not many atheletes have that in fact i think there is only one athelete that has 5 and that is Ken Norton Jr.

Montana has 3 SUPERBOWL MVP's (not regular season) in which no one has that many the next best is 2

and Montana just knew how to help the niners win... Jerry Rice was a big help but think about this... Could jerry rice have been as good if he had say John Kitna or Ryan Leaf throwing to him his whole career? i think not.

Marino had weapons too.. granted not as good as jerry rice but he did have some good weapons

I have to say Tom Brady because well you have the facts in the 7 years that he has been on the Pats he has led them to 3 superbowl titles and he has won MVP 2 times. that it is just the facts. but if you look deeper then you see that Tom Brady is the guy that is great under pressure and can not only throw the ball but run it. Tom Brady almost never gets sacked in games and if he does he always comes back and always gets the last word by winning.

You have all of these great quarterbacks in the past and present but Tom Brady has to be the greatest of all time. the quarterback runs the team and Brady knows how to run the Pats. Look at their history

Donovan McNabb. Very simple, he has always been a great QB of the game. But the recent events is what makes him #1 in my book. Everyone remembers what TO did to the Eagles. He broke them down mentally, and physcially. This affected Donovan. And that he can overcome this and produce the numbers he has (2,300 pass yds, 16 TDS [plus 3 rushing], and only 5 INTS) is phenominal! But the biggest reason, after TO left, the Eagles started losing WRS- All the receivers that has made Donovan who he is today. And that he can come from having 3 Clutch players (freddie mitchell, todd pinkston, and terrell owens) to having only one that was claimed off FA (Donte Stallworth) and having to make another out of a 2nd year player (Reggie Brown) and still put up the numbers that has made him famous, is what stands him out, as the BEST QB!

Otto Grahm...Period anybody who really knows football knows this..He won nine championships...Show me a quaterback who has done this... He was a all big ten halfback in college..So you know he can scramble...He had one of the best and most accurate passes...Just look up the history of the Browns in the fifties...

Alot of people now a days never heard of him or dont really know football history.... I bet alot of people dont even know who Lou Groza is or what he really played position wise...
