So.....For school we are doing a movie project. And at school we used I Movie which runs on apple. So, we made a movie on i movie and converted it to i dvd so we could burn it. So i come home today and the disk doesnt work. I was thinking that i needed a different disk, but are there any other options??

There are different DVD formats... your DVD may work in someone elses player... there are -r +r etc..... mostly depends on your home DVD... cheap ones don't play a lot of the formats

Did you mean that the disc doesn't work in your computer, or your DVD player? If it is the DVD player, try another DVD player. Some players don't play all the formats.
Generally - the cheaper the unit, more formats it will play.
