If the U.S. held a vote to impeach George Bush and Dick Cheney would they be out?

I doubt you'd get a 2/3rds vote in the Senate. Lord I hope you wouldn't. If Bush went Cheney would be president. If Cheney went Hastert would be President. Man! Now there are some frightening haloween thoughts!

Why don't you go back to 5th grade US History class when you should have learned the the US don't impeach a sitting US President, it take a plurality of the US House of Reps to impeach. If successfull it goes to the US Senate for a voice and or written roll call. It takes the majority of 50 votes plus 1 and the US Costitution calls on the VICE President to cast the decisive 51st vote is needed.
Lesson 2 in government...the VP can not be impeached..various legal reasons as to way are lenghty and can be confusing to many,

No. Impeachment is just the name of the trial process.
Bill was impeached, lost the trial, and remained in power.
Nixon resigned before impeachment.

Impeachment doesn't necessarily mean removal from office. Bill Clinton was impeached, but never removed.
