I lied to someone and feel terrible. What's worse is that they already felt like I wasn't being comepletley honest with them even though I was being truthful all along. I am worried if I tell the turth they will think I truly am a rotten liar. How can I admit what I have done?

I would just come out and tell them. Say that its the only thing you have lied about and you feel terrible about it. Its eating away at you and you want to make it right. They should respect the fact that you came clean about it and hopefully believe that you weren't lieing about everything else. Good luck.

Everyone lies about something to some extent...If you want to clear it up, tell them honestly why you lied and what you were feeling at the time. If they are worthy of being friends, they will forgive you, else you can live without them.

just say look im sorry i lied i feel like a total pig, when i lied i thought it was for the best and now i see i was wrong and just he they forgive u, if they are a friend they will be upset at first but will get over it soon enough

I understand your concern, but if know one suffered from your lie, just let it go. You will only be labeled a liar and not be trusted again. Just be very cautious from now on and tell the truth no matter what.

you go up to that person and you senserly say, "I am sorry, but i have lied to you, on da da da da da" "and wouldent of done it but da da da da da." " and is there anything i can do da da da da da da?"
so i think you get the point.
and if you lied and they are not willing to forgive you then they are not truly your friends and will probly feel rotten.
you just got to remember to tell the truth.

There is only one way to come clean, and that is to be honest. If they are upset, then that is normal. If you are truly honest, then they will come around sooner or later.

you dont.. by admitting it u are just going to lose all respect and all that good stuff they had in you. they will then question everything else youve ever sed or done. its not worth it.. just let it go... as long as they never find out ur golden.
