I am sure you have heard about Mexicans work for less money that whites/blacks. reason being is that if the Mexican is illegal they are being paid under the table--they can be paid less than min, wage because they are not reporting it anyways to the government. Most construction jobs are contract labor anyways and YOU have to report the taxes the company does NOT. If they are legal and paid by check and are reporting, most Hispanics send money back to their family in Mexico. A dollar in American money is worth much more in Mexico when it gets converted. So A low paying job here is enough money to supoort more people in Mexico. The drugs are made in these contries because the laws are more lenient and for instance the cocoa plant grows in Columbia--the way cocaine is made.

As George W is a product of Texas' elite, I can only assume the construction contractors want to employ intelligent workers, and can't find any locally. Also, since the Taleban have been overthrown in Afghanistan, opium production there far outweighs the production of Columbia. Your claim that 95% of illegal drugs come from the Central and Southern American countries is completely false.

Where did you hear that Affirmative Action was gone? It isn't. There are still numerous places that have it in tact. Additionally, and unfortunately, people will hire those who will do it for cheap, whether they are legal or not.

I did not know that they did. My neighbor, and two of my sons work construction. I know that a good 40% of the crews they work on are Americans.
