Your question is for a prophet because one would have to see the future to hit it square.
The most likely possibility of a III WW could be related to a nuclear device coming from Iran or Korea handed over or sold to a terrorist organization that would smuggle the device into the USA and detonate it, probably in a mayor city.
The only solution for this is an early attack against this two countries hitting all their nuclear device installations in one sole blow.
Nevertheless The American population have no guts nor courage or the far sightedness necessary to realize this, and would not support this action.
That´s why the saying :
"to much democracy is not good"
is true.
